Asst. Town Administrator, Tony L. King, serves as Louisburg Zoning Administrator, Subdivision Administrator, Watershed Administrator, Flood Hazard Administrator, and Code Enforcement Officer.
Welcome to the Louisburg Planning & Zoning Department. This department is the primary contact point regarding all development activities in Louisburg. The department is responsible for the issuance of all zoning, floodplain, watershed, historic, and subdivision permits, certificates, and other approval processes for any activities undertaken in the Town of Louisburg corporate limits and extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction (ETJ).
The vision of the Planning Department is to guide Louisburg’s growth to create a respectable municipal image and strong community character.
The Mission of the planning department is to fully support all Louisburg Town Council and Louisburg Planning Board activities while implementing the Comprehensive Land Use Plan through superior customer service and full compliance with the Louisburg Zoning Ordinance and other development related ordinances.
The Goals of the planning department play a very important role in where we are today and need to be as a community tomorrow. The planning department is committed to maintaining and implementing the Comprehensive Land Use Plan to meet the Community's Vision, assuring sound growth which is positive and of high quality through the Louisburg Subdivision Ordinance, maintaining and preserving the great character of Louisburg through the Historic Preservation Ordinance, and assuring the protection of personal and natural resources through the administration of the Floodplain and Watershed Ordinances of the Town of Louisburg.
