Rec Baseball Opening Day Parade - Saturday, April 4, 2009
The Louisburg Recreation Baseball season gets underway this Saturday, April 4, 2009 with the annual Parade of Teams from Person Place to Louisburg High School. Team coaches, players, and family members are invited to walk with their Team in the parade. All participants should be at the Person Place no later than 8:00 am. The parade will begin promptly at 8:30 am. Opening activities will include brief comments and the ceremonial “first pitch” of the season, followed by a full day of baseball games.
Parents, please note that Team photos will be taken throughout the day on Saturday, so please make every effort to have your child/player at this event. We look forward to another great year of fun, fulfilling, recreation for all children participating in our baseball program and encouraging, sportsmanlike support of family, friends, and spectators.

Recreation Evaluations - Saturday, March 14, 2009
The evaluation of participants in the Town’s Teeball and Baseball programs will be held this Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Louisburg High School. Times are: Coach Pitch baseball – 8:30 AM, Teeball – 9:00 AM, Minor League baseball – 9:30 AM, and Major League baseball – 10:30 AM.
The time frame for signing up to participate has been extended until Friday, March 13, 2009. Please contact Brent Cardwell, Recreation Director, at 496-4145 if you have any questions regarding the programs. Sign-up forms can be found in the recreation section of this site.
HPC meets Thursday Night
The Louisburg Historic Preservation Commission will meet Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 7:30 PM at the Louisburg Town Hall. The Commission shall consider revisions to the Certificate of Appropriateness issued to Danice Tucker for the construction of a new home at 201 Cedar St.
Chamber Banquet - January 16, 2009
The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Meeting and Banquet on the evening of January 16, 2009 at the Hudson Manor. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm and conclude around 9:00 pm. Please contact the Chamber of Commerce for additional information.
