Louisburg Training Center Use

The Louisburg Training Center may be rented for public purposes by public agencies. The Center is located at the Louisburg Police/Fire Complex on Johnson St. The Center offers seating of approximately 100 people. The use of the building may be scheduled with the Town Clerk subject to the following Policy for Use:

  1. First priority for use is the Louisburg Police, Fire, Rescue, or other Town related function.
  2. Second priority for use for other public purpose functions, including but not limited to:
    • Franklin County Government
    • Municipalities in Franklin County
    • Sheriff’s Department and other Law Enforcement Agencies
    • County Rescue Squads and Association
    • County Fire Departments and Association
    • Agricultural Extension Service
    • Franklin county School Board
  3. No alcohol may be consumed or displayed on the premises.
  4. Training Center is to be used for non-partisan, non-discriminatory purposes only.
  5. A reservation calendar is maintained at the Town Hall.
  6. Tables and chairs may not be removed for use outside of the Training Center.
  7. Renters shall be liable and responsible for any damages which occur during their period of use.
  8. A fee shall be charged for all uses, payable in advance at the time of reservation.
  9. Reservations shall be made no more than 60 days in advance.
  10. In the event of cancellation, $25.00 shall be retained and non-refundable.
  11. If cancellation occurs within 72 hours of scheduled reservation, entire (100%) of fee shall be non-refundable.
  12. Fees are applicable to all groups, including businesses, civic clubs, medical and professional organizations, and other governmental agencies.
  13. Use by any single group, department, or agency shall be limited to no more than three meetings in one month (Saturday/Sunday use counts as one meeting)
  14. Any function serving meals shall require a fee payable at time of reservation. This fee shall be an additional 50% of the base rental fee (example: If current rental fee is $50.00, then total due with meals served is $75.00)
  15. Training Center rental includes kitchen area and access to trash cans and cleaning supplies.
  16. Thermostat is labeled and shall be maintained at that temperature during use.
  17. A signature acknowledging these policies and accepting the terms within is required at time of reservation.
  18. NO COOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE MEETING ROOM. THIS INCLUDES ALL BEVERAGES, WHICH MUST BE SERVED IN THE KITCHEN AREA OR CLOSET SINK AREA OF MEETING ROOM.
  19. The meeting room shall be inspected the following day after each use.
  20. A key deposit in the amount of $15.00 shall be charged in addition to all other fees. This deposit shall be refunded subject to a positive inspection of the room condition after use and the return of the key to the Town Clerk. The key is due by 12:00 noon the following day or the deposit will be forfeited.
  21. The current fee schedule is:
    Meetings/Seminars - $50.00 Weekdays
    $75.00 Weekends
    Banquets/Receptions/Other Meal Functions - $100.00 Weekdays
    $150.00 Weekends
