Miscellaneous Permits

The Louisburg Business Office is responsible for issuing a number of permits required for certain activities in Louisburg. These activities include, but are not limited to:

Peddlers/Itinerant Merchants License

Persons selling authorized products at authorized locations who are itinerant or peddler in nature and who will be selling on a temporary basis are required to purchase a Peddlers License from the Town of Louisburg. This type of license is most often issued to door-to-door sales person. This allows the Town of Louisburg to remain aware of sells taking place in Town in an effort to have documentation in the result consumer related issues.

Business License

Any business operating within the Town of Louisburg is required to have a valid Business License in order to conduct business operations in Louisburg. Such businesses are required to comply with all applicable State and Federal Laws regarding labor, taxes, sales, and operations. These businesses must also comply with all applicable local ordinances regulating commercial activity in Louisburg. The cost of the Business License is dependent on the specific commercial operation.
